Welcome Raccoon City.
Welcome Raccoon City. Capcom

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne announced that its Raccoon City collaboration is officially live. With this, Resident Evil icons Leon and Claire are going to pay a visit to Iceborne. Not only that, Tyrant is making an appearance.

Leon Scott Kennedy is a police officer who made his debut as a playable character in Resident Evil 2. He then returned in Resident Evil 4, this time as a secret service agent. He again makes a comeback in Resident Evil 6. Claire Redfield, meanwhile, was also introduced in Resident Evil 2, but only returned in the episodic Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Then there is Tyrant. Tyrant technically isn't an individual character, but more a code for a series of boss characters in the franchise.

In the Raccoon City collaboration, hunters need to complete the event quest, which requires a Master Rank of at least 20. Once completed, they get access to materials needed to craft the Leon α+ and Claire α+ layered armor sets along with three Raccoon City-themed pendants.

Completing the event also gives hunters additional rewards in the form of two new gestures. The first is one that lets the hunter zombie bite a monster to deal damage. The second is more fun, as it lets you shuffle like a zombie.

Raccoon City also takes over Your Room with different themed decorations for those who want to have a survival horror style motif. The update lets you include the iconic typewriter for example, along with the item box. With last month's update allowing friends to visit each other's rooms, players can show off their horror-themed cribs

We haven't really mentioned the Tyrant yet. For the Raccoon City collaboration. there “The Handler’s Terrifying Tyrant” paid DLC costume which transforms The Handler into a trenchcoat-wearing, quest journal-wielding brute in order to join hunters on quests, prepare meals at camp, and even appear in cut-scenes.

Monster Hunter: Iceborne is available for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. A version for the PC is set to be released January 9, 2020. The Monster Hunter: World base game is needed to play Iceborne and hunters need to have completed the main story in Monster Hunter: World up to Hunter Rank 16 in order to access the new Iceborne story and quests.

The Iceborne expansion is available as digital DLC for $39.99. A Digital Deluxe version including both the expansion and a Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Deluxe Kit DLC of cosmetic items is available for $49.99. For the newcomers on console, a Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition containing both the main game and the Iceborne expansion is available either digitally or at participating retailers for $59.99.
