After its very successful release for consoles earlier last week, Capcom has now made some very big announcements for Monster Hunter World’s first large-scale expansion, Iceborne. The publisher took to their stage at TGS to announce that the first major title update for Iceborne will drop on October 10, bringing with it some more features plus the dreaded return of the Rajang as a huntable monster. Check out the official tweet from Capcom below, as well as a trailer for Rajang after the jump.

For players new to the series, Rajang is a monster first introduced in Monster Hunter 2, best known for his terrifying appearance that’s a cross between an ape, a bull, and the devil himself. Rajang is incredibly aggressive and turns gold when angered, blasting a high-powered beam of energy from his mouth. His overall design in the trailer and for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne hasn’t really changed much from his first appearance in Monster Hunter 2 , but with high definition textures and a meaner overall look. That said, his inclusion in this game is sure to provide a challenge to players, made much worse by his terribly aggressive nature.

Rajang is the first free update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, a vast expansion for the base game which sees Hunters journey to Hoarfrost in search of newer, larger and more dangerous prey to hunt. The expansion is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be coming to PC in January 2020.
