The PS4 exclusive MLB The Show 20 received a hotfix patch yesterday. The small patch doesn’t add any new content to the game, and is solely focused on bug fixing. A few bugs relating to the UI and Franchise mode were resolved.

At times it was possible for a player's roster to go back to the default live roster when that player uploaded it to the cloud. This won’t happen anymore thanks to the 1.12 patch. Several fixes were made to the score bug OSD and some other bugs for Home Run OSD were also resolved. The bug where Goals OSD was on screen after every out in moments will not occur anymore and the completed banner in multi-game moments will not disappear.

You can read the complete patch notes below and on the official site.

MLB The Show 20 Update 1.12 Patch Notes

  • Fixed an issue where the roster would reset to the default live rosters after uploading to the cloud.

UI

  • "Out in Front" introduced as a new Contact Result classification in the feedback window when timing is quite early on balls put in the air.
  • Fixed an issue causing the Completed banner to disappear in multi-game moments.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause the Goals OSD to appear after every out in moments.
  • Something something HOME RUN OSD...
  • Fixed an issue causing incorrect team abbreviations in loading screens.

As mentioned above, this patch is focussed mostly toward UI bug fixes. However, there are tons of gameplay issues that are plaguing the game for several players. We should expect another patch soon that will address these issues.
