The first-ever LEGO Pokémon sets are now here, almost a year since they were unveiled, and they are now open for preorders.
LEGO Pokémon Sets Are Now Open to Preorder
The LEGO Group has shared a new press release which officially announces the arrival of the LEGO Pokémon sets in the market, and they are now available to preorder via the website. The collaboration sets were first confirmed last March.
Both the LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company initially said that the collaboration will drop by 2026, but they did not reveal an exact timeline for it. Only one Pokémon was teased to be part of the collaboration, and it is the electric mouse Pokémon, Pikachu, whose tail was previewed alongside lightning effects.
The release of these LEGO Pokémon sets also coincides with the Pokémon franchise's 30th anniversary celebration, marking a significant milestone for the IP. This also marks the first-ever collaboration of LEGO and Pokémon in history.
Choose Your Pokémon: Kanto-based Sets are Coming
The LEGO Pokémon sets are slated to arrive by February 27, 2026, and they are now available to preorder on the LEGO website. As of press time, there are still stocks for all sets on the platform.
The first set is the previously teased Pikachu, which comes with a LEGO version of the standard Poké Ball, available for $199.99. This set offers 2,050 pieces of LEGO blocks to work with, making it a slightly large project to complete.
The Pikachu and Poké Ball set features different kinds of poses for the franchise mascot as users may set them on a stand where Pikachu jumps out of its Poké Ball or have the Electric-type Pokémon stand alongside the closed Poké Ball.
The next set is for Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon, in its base form glory, featuring the brown and beige colorway. Unlike Pikachu, Eevee only comes as a standing figure that users may tilt to various poses, features 587 pieces, and is available for $59.99.
The third set in this collaboration centers on the final stage evolutions of the iconic Kanto starter trio, which includes Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
This set is the largest in the collection as it features 6,838 pieces and features three Pokémon in one set.
This set costs a whopping $649.99.
Preordering the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set comes with a gift of the Kanto Region Badge Collection, which features all eight badges that users win after completing "Pokémon Red" and other first-gen games.
The Kanto Region Badge Collection is worth $29.99, but it remains unconfirmed if it will be sold by LEGO in the future.
