The first Nintendo Direct of 2026 has been leaked, suggesting that the awaited games showcase event is coming early in 2026 to deliver the latest updates from the company.

However, more importantly, the leaks claims that there is already an upcoming game lined up from Nintendo, specifically a new "3D Mario" title slated for this year.

Nintendo Direct 2026 Leaks: Here's When It Is Coming

A French journalist called "BeeFun" on X has shared a new leak which talks about the first Nintendo Direct event of 2026, and it will be going live in several weeks to deliver updates from the Japanese entertainment company.

According to the leak, the Nintendo Direct event will take place on February 10, which is less than a month from now.

It was revealed by the source that it will be a "huge" showcase from Nintendo as it will open the company's year with important information about its franchises.

According to ComicBook Gaming's report, another insider, NateTheHate, has shared an important update that supports the claim by BeeFun. NateTheHate is known for shooting down the bogus or inaccurate reports from online sources, but he did not do this for the recent leak, which has recently garnered significant attention.

Because of this, many believed that BeeFun's report has some kind of validity, and many are already expecting a massive showcase come early February from Nintendo and its franchises.

New '3D Mario' Game Coming in 2026's First Direct

It was also added by the leaker that the company will announce a new game in the first Nintendo Direct event in 2026, specifically a 3D "Mario" title that will be available in the future.

The leaker was specific in it being a "3D" game from the "Super Mario" franchise, meaning that it will deliver an adventure that is similar to the likes of "Super Mario Odyssey" or "Super Mario 64."

It should be noted that there are still no official announcements or confirmation from Nintendo regarding this rumored Direct event or the rumored 3D "Mario" title.

It is known that Nintendo shares an announcement regarding a Direct event close to the actual date itself, typically one or two days in advance, so this means that should the February 10 Direct event take place, the announcement may come by February 8 or 9.
