League of Legends Patch 12.15 is finally here! This update nerfs a few champions that are pretty strong in the current meta. Here, we will focus on the nerfs for Gwen and Sivir.

Gwen

Gwen’s kit is designed to be extremely strong in the late game, the real deal why she's a scaling champ. Riot didn't want to take that away from her, but the developer did see her Q is quite overwhelming. The amount of true damage from her Snip Snip! (Q) was not even affected by the increased durability across all champions. So, the true damage output of this ability is nerfed:

  • True Damage in Center: From 75% to 50% of damage dealt is converted to True Damage.

The true damage at the center used to deal 100% true damage before Patch 12.13. Before Patch 12.15, that was 75% and with the latest nerf, her Q takes a dent in damage and should result in a much lower pick rate.

Sivir

The developers are still adjusting Sivir after her rework, and this time, she is getting small nerfs. These changes will slightly lessen her power in the late game, but she still has a good wave clear and decent damage. The nerfs, however, now allow enemy champs to challenge Sivir.

Base Stats

Her attack damage growth has been slightly nerfed:

  • Attack Damage Growth: From 3.3 to 3.

Spell Shield (E)

Sivir’s spell shield is a great way to block enemy crowd control. Though, it can be problematic for the enemy team due to its short cooldown. So, the update has increased the cooldown across all levels:

  • Cooldown: From 22/20/18/16/14 to 24/22.5/21/19.5/18.

Sivir mains should now carefully time her Spell Shield or be caught easily.

On The Hunt (R)

Sivir’s ultimate is not overpowered in any way, but the movement speed allows her team to chase or flee away from fights easily. It is more prevalent if paired with enchanters, particularly Karma who can boost the team's movement speed further with her empowered E. So, the patch increased the duration of On The Hunt across all ranks.

  • Cooldown: From 100/85/70 to 120/100/80.

Similarly, Kalista, Taliyah, and Qiyana have also received nerfs, and you can read more about them here.
