League of Legends Patch 11.12 was released just a week ago but Riot is stirring things up with its next update. Patch 11.13 is said to be a big one and the developer has revealed some juicy information about it.

Gameplay design director Mark Yetter tweeted that the next update is huge. He’s highlighted that there will be mobility reduction across many systems, along with the addition of split-push items for tanks and fighters.

The game’s lead designer Jeevun Sidhu considers Patch 11.13 as one of the biggest meta shake-ups the company has done this year.

So, what exactly are the things you can expect in the upcoming update?

Tone Down Mobility

If you’ve played the game recently, you may have noticed that there are some Champions that can move in and out of danger much quicker than others. This is something that the company wants to address in the next patch.

“This new focus is going to be both addressing major mobility outliers that go too far breaking intended weaknesses and trimming lots of small movement speed creep across League items and runes,” explained Yetter.

Some of the items subject to change are the Prowler’s Claw, Shurelya’s Battlesong, and Galeforce.

Ultimate Spellbook

A new game mode will be introduced in the next update but players no longer have to wait that long to try it out. The “Ultimate Spellbook,” currently on the PBE,

lets you choose any Champion, albeit they will have a different ultimate. You can use one of three ultimates derived from a pool of 39 ultimates. Whichever you choose will permanently replace one of your Summoner Spells.

Tahm Kench Mini Rework

The company agrees that Tahm Kench’s current kit is only favorable for the pros. That is because its abilities require a certain level of coordinated play.

That said, for the River King to become more appealing to more players, the devs are considered Tahm's rework.

Aside from some tweaks to its base stats, the River King will also have changes to his abilities. For instance, Tahm Kench’s ultimate will no longer be Abyssal Voyage as it will be switched to Devour/Regurgitate. Abyssal Voyage will be the Champion’s W under the name Abyssal Dive.

Astronaut Skins

If you are a fan of the Astronaut skins, a few Champions will get their own in Patch 11.13. You can buy the new epic skins for Maokai, Corki, Veigar, and Rammus for 1,350 RP.

It is also worth noting that Zed will get his Prestige Edition “PROJECT” skin, which can be yours by completing the game’s event challenges.

Champion and Item Balance Changes

As mentioned earlier, Sidhu believes that the next update is major. So, expect more changes to certain Champions and items before the patch arrives. League of Legends Patch 11.13 is expected to launch on June 23.
