On Friday, NIS America's YouTube video announced Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk will have a physical and digital release for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam in North America and Europe this fall. The popular dungeon crawler RPG was originally released in Japan in June 2016 as a PlayStation Vita exclusive before jumping to the PlayStation 4 in Sept. 2017. Now, Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is expected to make it a plethora of systems later this year.

You'll take up the role of a "living book" named Tractatus de Monstrum, and command your own personal army of puppet soldiers as you work through the twisting and turning passageways of the game's namesake, the Labyrinth of Refrain. To do this, you'll need to spend time at your base and get ready for your journey by keeping your army fighting fit. You can make new puppet soldiers and assign them various jobs from there, then you can give them new equipment so they're ready to go when you grab requests from the townsfolk you will aid outside of the labyrinth.

Fight 2D sprites in turn-based battle with puppets that are sorted in six different classes: Shinobushi, Aster knights, Theatrical Stars, Peer Fortresses, Marginal Mazes, and Mad Raptors. For instance, Theatrical Star use weapons called Spell Bells for magical buffs, while Marginal Mazes use special abilities called Donam for support magic.

When you're in the labyrinth, you need to be extra careful and search every single area you can to find treasures, rare items, and lots of other goodies that you can take out of the dungeon with you to sell for good money. You'll have to make it out first, however, as the labyrinth becomes more and more dangerous with the more riches you accrue.

If you're a fan of games where you need to grind to get ahead and find lots of goodies along the way, you'll enjoy Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk, as it has a lot in common with NIS America's other inventory of titles like Disgaea and Demon Gaze.

The Nintendo Switch is slowly building a sizeable collection of RPG games, and Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is great news for fans.
