Millions of gamers are exploring Horizon Zero Dawn this week, after the game’s long-awaited debut on Tuesday morning, exploring Aloy’s relatively small slice of the planet and seeking out new adventures wherever they might be found. Like any open world game, Horizon Zero Dawn also features its fair share of collectibles, including a series of Vantage Points scattered across the game’s map. Each provides a small amount of information about the Metal World and visiting all 12 will net players one of the dozens of trophies featured in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Some spare audio files aren’t the only incentive players have to track down all of the vantage points, either. Aloy will also find a small stash of supplies at each location; a package that typically includes a few metal shards, some crafting reagents and (occasionally) a low-quality weapon or armor modification. It might not be as exciting as what awaits Aloy in the Cauldrons, or even as useful as the information gained by overriding Tallnecks, but would-be Horizon Zero Dawn historians will undoubtedly make whatever trek necessary for new information.
Of course, the non-specific location data included on Aloy’s map isn’t always enough for some players to determine a cache’s location. With that in mind, we’ve rounded up screenshots (and a few short videos) showing the exact spot where each hidden audio log can be recovered.
