Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption are some of the biggest gaming IPs in the industry, and Take-Two Interactive owns both of them. In a recent report, the company revealed the sales figure of two of its biggest games.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Sales Figures

According to the report, GTA 5 has sold over 160 million units. That’s an incredibly massive number for a game that is more than eight years old and is still selling like hotcakes. A next-gen version of GTA 5 is currently in development and will launch on March 15. This should boost the sale even further.

In its entirety, the Grand Theft Auto franchise has sold over 370 million copies. A new GTA is currently in development and we are sure that it's also going to set new records.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Sales Figures

Red Dead Redemption might not be as famous as GTA but it’s still an important IP for Take-Two. The report revealed that RDR2 , which was released back in 2018, has sold over 43 million units. A next-gen version hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s expected given how crucial the game is for Take-Two. Recent rumors have also suggested that a next-gen version of RDR2 is in development.

The Red Dead Redemption franchise has sold over 65 million copies in its entirety. That’s an impressive number given that the franchise has only three games in it.

In other news, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, which contains the remasters of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, has exceeded Take-Two’s sales expectations. Previous reports have claimed that remasters of other games will depend on sales of the GTA Trilogy. Given the success, Red Dead Redemption Remaster might not be a fool’s dream anymore.
