The Game Awards 2019 was a lot of fun this year with some of the biggest names in the industry all giving respects to the hobby we love. The show was livestreamed across the world through YouTube and Twitch. New games were announced as well, coming from the likes of Magic: The Gathering, Humankind, Gears Tactics, and Ghost of Tsushima.

Here at Player.One we've covered some of the game like Dark Alliance and its crazy trailer, Gears Tactics, and the fun Maneater. Today we look at the awards themselves and see how each game fared.

For starters, Shekiro: Shadows Die Twice was named Game of the Year. While this is indeed a big win, Shekiro only managed to get two awards from five nominations. The most rewarded game of the night honor went to Disco Elysium, which was nominated in four categories and won all of them.
