Five Nights At Freddy’s: Sister Location has just been released on Steam, and it’s available to download here for $6.79 at a 15 percent discount. Given the latest trailer and official description, here’s what we know about the game.

Somewhat separate from the four-game legacy of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, Five Nights At Freddy’s: Sister Location focuses on an entirely different establishment called Circus Baby’s Pizza World. Like those “other places” you’ve heard of before, however, this one also includes a cast of animatronic characters with a lust for death. New faces, like Baby, Ennard and Ballora, join redesigned versions of Freddy and Foxy to tell a new story that’s canon to the existing lore.

Franchise creator Scott Cawthon has yet to comment on gameplay features outside the title’s single trailer and screenshots, but what we see is essentially an expanded version of the formula that first made the series a viral hit. This time around, players will assumingly take on the role of a late-night technician in charge of watching the hardware. Doing so will require traveling to various rooms to make sure each character is behaving as it should. Cameras have been replaced by direct first-person contact with deadly foes that now have the ability to speak.

The story behind Sister Location is equally as mysterious as Cawthon’s devotees might demand. Previous teasers suggest that we might finally get a closer look at the series’ elusive Purple Man villain named William Afton. In fact, he might even be who gamers control for this installment.

After being trolled for weeks about the impending release of Five Nights At Freddy’s: Sister Location, fanatics are ready to finally uncover the dark secrets it potentially reveals. While Cawthon previously described this project as something of a risk, it could be just what the doctor ordered after the year following Five Nights At Freddy’s 4.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Sister Location is available now on Steam. Mobile versions are also expected soon.

What do you hope to get from Sister Location? Will the lore finally be solved? Tell us in the comments section!
