Fallout 76 Brings Treasure Hunters Back To Appalachia On October 15

An event makes a return.
An event makes a return. Bethesda

Remember the time when Treasure Hunter Mole Miners first appeared in Fallout 76? Well it looks like that there are reports coming in that Mole Miner activity seems to be increasing. That means it’s only a matter of time before these Treasure Hunters reach the surface.

Actually, you don’t have to wait long since the Hunt for the Treasure Hunter event is coming back on October 15. It’s not going to stay long though, as the event ends by October 19.

Players should be glad to know that some improvements have been made on this event based on feedback. These are:

  • Treasure Hunter Mole Miners now spawn in all regions of Appalachia, and their levels adjust dynamically up to 50.
    • This means they’re going to drop legendary loot that better matches your character’s level.
  • Treasure Hunter event rewards have been separated into their own reward pool.
    • A number of new items have been added as well.
  • Treasure Hunter Mole Miners have an increased chance to drop Ornate Mole Miner Pails.
    • Players also have higher chances to get event-exclusive rewards from lower-quality Pails.
  • Vendors now negotiate significantly lower Cap prices on components for player-crafted Mole Miner Pails.

New Update

So what else is happening next week? Fallout 76 is releasing a new update on October 13 which hopes to address some bugs along with introducing some new items to the Atomic Shop. While the update is smaller compared to the previous ones released, it’s set to lay in the needed groundwork for the Steel Dawn Update.

PTS

Last week Fallout 76 started its latest round of playtesting for its upcoming C.A.M.P. Shelters feature. While this remains to be the focus in the PTS this week, expect to be able to test some Steel Dawn content in the coming weeks.

As mentioned last week, there’s a PTS Pennant reward offered to players who took part in the Shelters playtesting. This reward can be unlocked in a player's C.A.M.P. The Pennant can be obtained by building Shelters on at least three different days and using at least 75% of a Shelter’s build budget before the PTS ends.
