'Escape From Tarkov' Is Coming to Steam After Almost a Decade—When's the Release Date?

One of the top FPS action shooters in the market will soon be heading to Steam, with "Escape From Tarkov" now confirmed to be available on the game distribution platform.

The latest news came directly from the development studio's head, with this announcement giving players significant hope for the game's arrival on the platform after almost a decade since it first debuted in early access.

The game has yet to have a full version released, but Battlestate Games is already planning for its official debut to arrive by November 11 this year.

'Escape From Tarkov' Is Coming to Steam After a Decade

Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov has announced on his official X account that "Escape From Tarkov" is coming to Steam in the future as the company is now setting up for the game's full release.

The executive claims that the game's Steam page would be available soon, but it is not yet live as of writing. However, there is already a screenshot of the listing.

Possibly, the screenshot shared by Buyanov is the developer's version of the page where they can edit the title's listing and other details that the public would see when visiting it on the Steam store. That being said, Buyanov claims that further details would be available in the future, but there is still no exact timeline for the game's Steam page listing going live for everyone to see.

According to GameRant, "Escape From Tarkov" has seen immense popularity despite not releasing to main distribution platforms like Steam, with the eight-year-old game gaining a cult following all these years. In 2017, "Escape From Tarkov" opened its early access experience to gamers following its closed alpha testing and saw a warm reception from the public.

While this early access already gave gamers a deep dive into what the first-person shooter brings to the table, it is yet to be officially released by the developers in public availability.

'Escape From Tarkov' Release Date Set

In a separate post on X, Buyanov confirmed last August 22 that "Escape From Tarkov" is releasing the game's 1.0 version later this year, and it would mark its official public debut. This specific version would officially mark the game's departure from early access status, and the report speculated that its recently revealed Steam release could significantly help it.

According to Buyanov, "Escape From Tarkov" version 1.0 will arrive by November 15.
