'Fortnite x Deep Rock Galactic' Leak Teases Crossover with the Space Shooter

The next "Fortnite" crossover may be coming soon as a new leak has suggested that the company is planning to bring over "Deep Rock Galactic" to the battle royale experience for users to enjoy.

While "Fortnite" had several space-based collaborations in the past, this new crossover with "Deep Rock Galactic" will take users on a new cosmic journey with the popular space shooter.

Season 4 recently rolled out in "Fortnite" and ushered in the arrival of the "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" as well as the latest cosmetics shared by Epic Games.

'Fortnite x Deep Rock Galactic' Crossover Leak

According to a new post by leaker HYPEX via X, "Fortnite" is getting ready for its next massive crossover on the battle island, which will center on the hit action-shooter "Deep Rock Galactic."

There are still no details shared by the leaker regarding what the crossover will bring to players, but it is speculated that it will fuse together experiences from both "Fortnite" and "Deep Rock Galactic."

Danish developer Ghost Ship Games and publisher Coffee Stain Publishing initially launched "Deep Rock Galactic" in 2018 before its full release in 2020 on Microsoft Windows and the Xbox One. Several months later, "Deep Rock Galactic" made its Xbox Game Pass debut and has since become a mainstay in the service because of its immense popularity.

According to GameRant's report, the "Fortnite" crossover with "Deep Rock Galactic" is an unexpected one as the action shooter game already has massive collaborations available in the latest season.

That being said, the popular game is rumored to be soon making its way to "Fortnite" and delivering a clash between the battle royale's best features and its own.

Space Shooter Collab to be Announced Soon

It was revealed by HYPEX that the rumored crossover will be officially announced by Epic Games itself before the weekend is over."

Deep Rock Galactic" is best known for its class-based shooter gameplay, which centers on "badass" space dwarves that center on one to four-player co-op matches. Because of its immense popularity, the game has seen various spinoffs.

The latest "Fortnite" Chapter 6 Season 4 also featured other crossovers, including "Squid Game" and "One Punch Man," as well as its introduction of the English virtual band, Gorillaz, to the game.

According to the report, "Fortnite" has a lot more in store for future drops in the battle royal, which focuses on another "Avatar: The Last Airbender" skin drops following Korra's arrival earlier this year.

On the other hand, the battle royale is already preparing for its Halloween-themed event "Fortnitemares" for later this year, set to debut Scooby-Doo in the game.
