Elden Ring 20 Minutes Gameplay Preview, Pre-Orders Now Live

Elden Ring
Elden Ring FromSoftware Inc.

Elden Ring is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2022. The game will launch on February 25 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. The developer of the game, FromSoftware, has been mostly tight-lipped about it until now.

Gameplay Footage

The title was shown in all its glory yesterday. The 20-minute gameplay footage of Elden Ring was unveiled to the fans, and they loved it. The video showed off the beautiful environment, several enemies, and combat. We saw the protagonist fighting a dragon, a guy with dozens of hands, and a knight on a dead horse.

You will automatically mount a horse by summoning it. There are jump pads scattered across the map that allow the horse to jump at great heights. We also saw how multiplayer works in the game. You can ask for help from other players to fight an enemy.

My favorite part of the reveal was the talking pot that needed our help.

Live Pre-Orders

That’s not all. The developer revealed that the pre-orders for the game are now live. You can pre-order it for PS, Xbox, and PC. The game is available on PC only via Steam, so it’s bad news for EGS fans.

The game also features pre-order bonuses. Anyone who purchases the game before the release will get an Adventure Guide and a Bonus Gesture.

The Standard Edition comes with the base game only, whereas the Deluxe Edition includes the base game, a digital artbook, and the original soundtrack. The Standard Edition costs $59.99 while the Deluxe Edition costs $79.99.

Competition

Elden Ring might be a behemoth title, but it’s not immune to competition. The game is releasing exactly one week after Horizon Forbidden West. Dying Light 2 Stay Human will also release on February 4. All these AAA games could hurt sales of Elden Ring, or it could be the other way around. I guess we will have to wait and see.

So what do you think? Did you enjoy the gameplay footage? Are you excited about the Elden Ring ? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
