Dragon Ball Fusions for the Nintendo 3DS will release in Japan on Aug. 4, and Bandai Namco has announced some pre-order bonuses for those who reserve their copies early, as well as a brand-new, limited-edition Nintendo 3DS.

According to the Dragon Ball Fusions website, translated by Siliconera, there will be a bundle that includes the game and a New Nintendo 3DS. The New Nintendo 3DS will come with two faceplates shown below.

The Dragon Ball Fusions 3DS bundle is going for 23,700 yen (approximately $217).

The Fusions website also revealed the first-print bonus will include a download code for a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku -- or Super Saiyan Blue -- that you can get in your party from the get-go. The bonus will also include a “Gohunks: EX” battle card that you can use in Dragon Ball Heroes.

Whether the New Nintendo 3DS bundle or the pre-order bonus remains the same when it eventually makes its way overseas is still unclear. But with E3 around the corner and the release date coming up quickly, details on a western release of Dragon Ball Fusions should come soon.

Dragon Ball Fusions will allow players to fuse any two Dragon Ball characters to participate in the tournament to end all tournaments. You can make it happen in Dragon Ball Fusions by using a Capsule Corp-made bracelet. These new fusions are called "EX Fusions" and some of these new fusions include Karoly (Kakarot (Goku) x Broly; spelled the same way as "calorie" in Japanese), Gorillin (young Goku x Krillin), Krigohan (Gohan x Krillin; a pun on the word chestnut rice), and Prillin (Piccolo x Krillin).

So what do you think, would you pony up the cash for the limited-edition 3DS? When do you expect Fusions to make it to the West? Let us know in the comments section below.
