Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has been confirmed for 2016 Bandai Namco

After months of speculation , Bandai Namco has confirmed Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is coming this year for console and PC with more details heading to this year’s E3.

Bandai Namco did not give any specific release date information outside of the 2016 window but it did give us a trailer to gawk at. Take a look at the first trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 .

“The Dragon Ball franchise is a crown jewel and a perennial fan-favorite of BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment’s robust anime videogame portfolio and DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 will build upon that illustrious legacy.” said Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. in a press release “With DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 , we’re working diligently with the DIMPS team to pull out all the stops and push the Dragon Ball videogame experience to new heights.”

From the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 trailer, it seems like your character will be tasked with saving the Dragon Ball timeline but how will Xenoverse 2 change up the events from the first game? Well, it seems players will be going all the way back to the destruction of Planet Vegeta and even to Future Trunks’ timeline.

There’s not a lot of information about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 but with E3 2016 this June, Bandai Namco will likely give fans story details and new mechanics. Hopefully there will be more customization for your character (we just want a Super Buu model).

So what do you think of the Xenoverse 2 announcement? What do you hope is added to the sequel to Bandai Namco’s successful fighting game? Let us know in the comments section below.
