Looks like the Southeast Asia Dota 2 scene is shaping up to be a more competitive region after Lowkey Esports finally signed its first official roster. The team is expected to be part of the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit.

Unlike most esports organization coming from SEA, Lowkey Esports will reportedly involve a mix of younger and inexperienced players. Despite having young talents, the team is going to be guided by veteran playmakers who have established themselves since the early years of competitive Dota 2.

Of course, the Southeast Asia region is still a region with improvements needed to further compete in the international scene. Nonetheless, teams like PSG.LGD have proven, time and again, that they can be a force to be reckoned with. That said, Lowkey Esports still has a lot to prove.

Lowkey is reportedly an organization based in the Philippines, and it hosts professional Dota 2 players with thousands of playing hours. The organization is obviously not the first Dota 2 pro team to surface from the Philippines. They will be rivalling Fnatic, TNC Predator, and Mineski within SEA.

Lowkey Esports is spearheaded by two veterans, namely, Kenneth “Flysolo” Coloma and Samson “Sam_H” Hidalgo. In case you have forgotten, these two players teamed up in the past and worked hand in hand on the DeToNator roster and Neon Esports. Completing the team will be Kryte “LuziFy” Gabriel, Yuri “Yowe” Pacana, and Christian-John “Skadilicious” Abasolo, with the latter being brought from Neon.

Flysolo, in particular, has played for a bunch of tier-two Dota 2 pro teams over his four-year career. Known for having a stronger record in smaller events, he had helped his team flourish in the past. Flysolo will reportedly be the team captain of the squad and will play hard support.

Sam_H, on the other hand, is perhaps the best and most popular player in Lowkey Esports. Not only did he compete in numerous international events, he had also spent most of his career time with TNC Pro Team before splitting into TNC Tigers and Predators. He brings with him the much-needed experience to carve out a spot in the Southeast Asia region.
