The next episode for DC Universe Online is taking everyone from the multi-verse to the future. It’s time to meet the bravest team of the 31st Century with “Long Live the Legion.” Episode 39 is set to be launched in November 2020.
The Legion of Super-Heroes is a team formed in the 31st Century and inspired by many of the present-day heroes, particularly the Teen Titans. Their greatest opponent, Mordru, has a come with a plan to destroy the team. This plan involves destroying the past since that means there’s going to be no heroes that are going to serve as the inspiration to form this future team.
In this new episode, players travel forward in time with the Teen Titans to help Legion of Super-Heroes members Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, and Saturn Girl. Other details of this episode include:
- Long Live the Legion is going to offer standard and elite versions of the content.
- The level-agnostic event versions of the content are going to be available to all players, but for a limited time.
- This episode is going to feature new and returning allies and adversaries, including founding members Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Lightning Lad as well as their foes Mordru, Emerald Empress, and Validus.
- The storyline include adventures set in the distant future, featuring 31st Century Metropolis, the Legion's HQ, and more.
- The open-world 31st Century Metropolis features improved World Boss encounters, rewards, and mechanics.
- The episode is going to offer new player rewards, including gear, artifacts, styles, base items, and feats.
Witching Hour 2020
Before the new episode is released, there’s going to be something that players can do in the meantime. Today, October 1, marks the beginning of The Witching Hour which is going to last until November 4. It’s going to offer, among others, new Base Items, Feats, and even Styles.
For this year, there’s trouble in the streets of Gotham City as well as inside The Midnight Masquerade Nightclub. To start the event, heroes need to look for the Phantom Stranger while villains need to talk to Tala. Players need to be at least Level 10 to take part in this event.
In addition, players need to check their Mission Journal each day of the event in order to complete missions and earn Spooky Bites.
Fall Fest
That’s not all that’s happening as Fall Fest also starts today and end on October 11. There’s going to be free gifts along with a sale. To get the free gifts, players simply need to log in during the duration of the Fall Fest. Gifts include:
- CR255 Character Advance
- Hallowings
- Vampire Bat (Trinket Pet)
Of course, an event wouldn’t be complete with an offer of discounts. During the Fall Fest, everyone gets to enjoy a 25% discount on Respec Tokens, Artifact XP, and Catalysts, all available in the Marketplace.
