It seems that there’s no stopping the freight train that is news about Cyberpunk 2077, the highly anticipated ARPG from developer CD Projekt Red. From updates regarding its gameplay, rumored multiple Cyberpunk games, the announcement of a lore book, and other shenanigans, it seems that there’s just no end in sight for information about the futuristic role-playing title. The most recent news to come to light is that Cyberpunk 2077 will be exhibited for the whole four-day run of Gamescom 2019, which should be very exciting news given all the information we’ve received between now and from when we last saw gameplay footage.
As announced by CD Projekt Red, attendees of Gamescom 2019 will be able to watch live gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 at the game’s booth, which will be located in Hall 6, Stand C049. The game will be played live by members of the development team. In addition to the public showing, select media and trade visitors will also be able to see a behind closed doors gameplay showcase.
In other news, CD Projekt Red also announced that it will also organize the first offline qualifier of the official Cyberpunk 2077 Cosplay Contest. This event will take place on August 23 and will see participants competing for the title of the most realistic and authentic Cyberpunk 2077 costume. Prizes at stake include $2,000 for the first-place winner, Cyberpunk 2077 themed merchandise, and also a spot in the Cosplay Contest Grand Finale that boasts a $30,000 prize pool. - Tokyo Game Show (Tokyo, Japan), running from September 12 to 15
