On Friday, Supercell dropped its latest Clash Royale card addition – the Clone Spell. The card, which was teased by Supercell earlier in the week is a low-cost spell with big returns. Basically, for three elixir, the clone spell will duplicate any of your troops within a radius of three. Clones dropped are only a level one, but when you think about heavy tank cards or even some of your favorite hoard cards, the clone spell looks to be a real game changer. As is the case anytime a new card releases, avid Clash Royale fans get busy looking for the best decks that utilize the new card. Though the card has been out less than 24 hours, players on YouTube, Reddit and other Clash Royale forums have already begun showcasing decks they’ve used featuring the clone spell. If you are in arena 8 or above the clone spell is now available. If you were lucky enough to unlock a clone spell already, below we’ve compiled a handful of clone spell decks to try in Clash Royale. Check them out and if you have a Clone Spell deck of your own to share, email it to c.harbison@ibtimes.com and we’ll add it to the post – with props to you, of course, for sharing.

Average Elixir - 2.8

Deck Overview/Strategy

This deck has a very low elixir usage rate so players can cycle quickly through cards. The clone spell is quite useful in this deck if your timing is correct. It’s a well-balanced deck with a decent amount of air and ground defense. This deck seems best for doing chip damage as there aren’t any really powerful tanks in the deck. It also relies on three legendary cards, which may be hard to come by for some players. Gameplay and some strategic elements are discussed in the video above.

Deck Overview/Strategy

This deck was first posted on clashroyalpedia.com and contains some similar types of cards as the previous deck. It only incorporates two legendary cards making it a little bit easier for all kinds of players to piece together. The deck is heavy on air defense/offense. The key strategy with this deck is to use the clone spell to clone Lava Hound, which acts as the main tank in this deck. Back it up with the Miner card and you can pull off a pretty impressive push. Deck Overview/Strategy

This deck was shared by a Redditor and takes advantage of the massive brute tank, Golem. It’s a relatively inexpensive deck to hold even with the Golem card, but requires a good bit of skill to utilize well. The key strategy in this deck is throwing down an elixir collector early to get enough for your golem and support. Once there’s enough elixir to deploy Golem. Once he reaches the bridge or nears the enemy tower, it’s time to use your clone spell. Two Golems can be really hard to combat, and at the very least, they will do some amount of damage. Another strategy when getting to the double elixir stage of gameplay is to run your Golem to the bridge, then follow it with a Lumberjack. As they approach the tower, mirror the Lumberjack and then throw down the clone spell over both the Golem and Lumberjack. If you have enough elixir to throw in the rage spell, you’re golden. This deck is weak on ranged units so you can look at trading out the elixir collector for a Musketeer, Mega Minion of some other attacker, which can help you with range defense/offense.
