There's no denying that Xbox Game Pass has become one of the popular gaming services today. For just $10 a month, gamers can play thousands of games, and some of them are even launch titles. It is safe to say that the Xbox Game Pass has set the stage for the future of video game subscription services. This is quite evident as many other companies have come up with their own video game streaming services like Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, and GeForce Now. There's no doubt that the trend is only going to continue moving forward.

Xbox Game Pass Family Plan

According to Xbox, however, this isn't enough. The company recently revealed that it's considering expanding its Xbox Game Pass service. And for most people, it would be a step in the right direction. For now, the service is only accessible by an individual account. Although you could share your account with your family and friends, it still means that you'll need specific credentials to access it.

A Twitter user asked the Head of Xbox Phil Spencer if the subscription service will be receiving a family feature or not. To which Spencer replied, "it's something we'd like to do."

What the Family Plan Could Entail

While most of us will certainly appreciate the Xbox Game Pass family plan, it's important to note that the feature might come at a cost. Instead of the standard $10 fee, the family plan might charge an extra $5 or even $10.

Several subscription services like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, and Apple Music have a family plan. These charges more fee to allow many members to use the service. But without purchasing individual subscriptions.

It is good to know that Xbox is looking into developing such a plan, yet there's no certainty when the feature will come out.

Meanwhile, you can enjoy the recently added games to Xbox Game Pass, which include Doom Eternal, Control, and Rage 2.

Xbox Game Pass is available on PC, Xbox, and Android.
