The latest update for the Switch version of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt allows you to sync progress between PC and Nintendo Switch. So, if you want to play the game on PC, but still take it with you when you head out the door, now's the time.
The news was first discovered when the Korean version of The Witcher 3 on Switch displayed an option to connect a Steam account to sync progress between Nintendo and Steam. After updating the game to the latest patch, cloud saves are enabled, allowing players to jump back and forth between PC and Switch. The update shortly arrived to the Western version of the game, along with the full patch notes from CD Projekt Red.
Along with the PC and Switch save sync, the update also adds "touch control support" for the HUD elements in the game, additional graphical settings, and as more language support in selected regions. There are also several bug fixes and performance optimizations coming to the Switch version of the game in patch 3.2.
The additional graphical settings for The Witcher 3 on Switch include the ability to adjust several features like depth of field, anti-aliasing, chromatic aberration, and motion blur.
The Switch port for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt released in October 2019 and this phenomenal journey of the game came at the cost of a big graphical downgrade. But hey! You get to play The Witcher 3 on the Switch! Some dedicated modders were also able to bring in some tweaks to the Switch version of the game, where the graphical settings were tweaked and the game was able to hit 60 fps in certain scenarios.
The Witcher 3 has also become very popular across all platforms following the recent Netflix show that released in December. Physical sales of the game jumped a whopping 554 percent compared to last year. The majority of this number comes from the Switch version that launched just a few months before the Netflix series.
