Have you downloaded the Direct Hit update for War Thunder? If so, how’s your experience so far? Well, developer Gaijin Entertainment continually improves the game since the major content patch was released. This time around, they’ve launched Update 2.9.0.50 that fixes the helicopter ballistic calculator. More bug fixes are also introduced, so read ahead to find out what other things got resolved.

Helicopter Ballistic Calculator

Before the update, whenever you switch to a helicopter after your previous vehicle got destroyed, the ballistic calculator of the chopper would sometimes get broken. This led to a host of problems, including shell and missile failures, incorrect controls, among many others.

Apparently, there was an issue where the settings of your previous vehicle would be saved and then used by the helicopter after you respawn. Fortunately, the devs have quickly resolved this and the smart system should now perform its tasks as intended.

Free Up Space

Some vehicles and equipment have advanced battle systems in place that would provide you with a lot of information at a time. While this can be helpful for some, it is confusing for most people.

When entering a modern vehicle, for example, you may find radar data at the bottom of the screen and an azimuth scale at the top. The devs acknowledged that this is excessive, so they removed the scale as per community feedback.
