Pre-orders for the upcoming Train Sim World 3 are now open. The game is coming this September 6 to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Players can pre-order the game digitally on Steam, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games Store. The Deluxe Edition is available for $59.99 and can be pre-ordered at 10% off. In addition to the base game, it also includes a four-day early access pass and a bonus decal pack that can be used within the livery editor and shared on Creators Club.

New Weather Dynamics

The game is expected to be the next leap forward for the franchise. Players can expect better realism with new weather dynamics, which deliver beautiful volumetric skies. It’s powered by a new lighting system that enhances realism and immersion.

So, trains can now be driven across the extremes of weather like snow and thunderstorms. Each weather condition changes the driving experience and has players pay close attention to track conditions. Take for example getting leaves on the line. It may initially appear as a tiny issue given how large the trains are, but they pose serious challenges for many drivers because leaves lower the friction between wheels and rail.

New Training Center and Carry Over

There’s also a Training Center where everyone can learn how to drive the locomotives featured in the game. Another feature that experienced players will like is the support of add-ons for Train Sim World 2. That means they can carry all the routes and engines they own to Train Sim World 3 from the previous game and continue playing their favorite content.

In a statement, Dovetail Games Executive Producer Matt Peddlesden shared that the team has managed to do an excellent job in enhancing the immersive experience offered by the previous titles in the series. The new lighting system was able to transform the visual, while the addition of the new weather dynamics improved the driving experience of the trains.
