Welcome the Tharandter Rampe

Last week, players finally got their hands on Tharandter Rampe, a new route that runs for 79 kilometers between Dresden and Chemnitz. Historically, this line featured treacherous terrain and has seen many sections being rebuilt over the years to accommodate the increase in demand and congestion.

This rather challenging route has players take control of different services. To do that, just climb aboard the two-car diesel multiple unit, DB BR 612. This unit can tilt around corners and achieve higher average speeds while ensuring that passenger comfort is maintained. By the way, players can choose how they want to play, like driving trains or just going around as a passenger.

Overall, key features of this new route include:

  • 79 km (49-mile) route from Dresden Hbf to Chemnitz Hbf as it was in 2012.
  • DB BR 612 “RegioSwinger“ Tilting DMU in DB Red livery.
  • DB BR 143 & Doppelstock in DB Red livery.
  • Railpool BR 185.6 in Railpool silver livery.
  • DB BR 363 “V 60“ Diesel Shunter in Deutsche Bundesbahn Blue livery.
  • Roos-T, Habbins, and Laaers freight wagons.
  • Highly detailed, feature-rich, driving cabs with accurate true-to-life performance and handling.
  • Journey Mode features more than 24 hours of activities for players to master.
  • Accessible Training Modules and 6 detailed and engaging scenarios.
  • Extensive 24-hour Timetable.
  • A selection of Route Tasks to complete.
  • Livery Designer and Scenario Planner compatible.
  • The game is Powered by Dovetail Games’ proprietary SimuGraph vehicle dynamics engine and Unreal Engine 4 technology.

Train Sim World 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
