"Assassin's Creed" is the next video game series that will get a live-action adaptation, and it's all thanks to Netflix.

Netflix has given the greenlight for the live-action adaptation to push through, and its showrunners have also been named.

According to Ubisoft, Emmy nominees Roberto Patino and David Wiener have been named as the live-action adaptation's creators, showrunners, and executive producers.

"We are so excited to work alongside Roberto, David, and our Netflix partners to bring this beloved franchise to series," said Ubisoft Film & Television Executive Producer and Head of Content Margaret Boykin.

"We look forward to delivering an experience that speaks to the heart of what fans love about Assassin's Creed, while introducing its unforgettable worlds and timeless themes to new audiences worldwide," Boykin added.

No other details have been confirmed by either Ubisoft or Netflix, so fans will have to wait and see.

Which Games Will Be Adapted?

Ever since the release of the first "Assassin's Creed" game in 2007, the series has grown to include more mainline titles and spin-offs. This raises questions when it comes to the series adaptation.

First, will the Netflix series remain so faithful to the video games that we can expect to see beloved "Assassin's Creed" characters?

If the answer to that is yes, which titles will be the main focus of the series. Will they adapt the first ever "Assassin's Creed" as it was released first? Or will they adapt "Assassin's Creed Origins" as its story explains how the conflict between the Assassins and Templars began?

If the answer is no, are they going to introduce a whole new story that ties in with the video games?

So many questions, little to no answers. Let's see what Netflix and Ubisoft can come up with.
