Season 10 of Call of Duty: Mobile launches this week and it features a lot of new content, including new guns, maps, and game modes.

New Guns

Two guns are confirmed arriving in the upcoming season. They are the SVD Sniper Rifle and the CBR4 SMG. They will be available after downloading the update. You can acquire the SVD Sniper Rifle in the Season 10 Battle Pass. The CBR4 SMG, on the other hand, will be yours by completing some in-game challenges.

New Map

At the time of writing, only one map is confirmed and that is the “Vacant” map from Modern Warfare (2019). This map has been overhauled several times and its small area is perfect for mobile gaming.

New Game Modes

Those who played Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 may be familiar with Control. It is a game mode having an attacker team and a defender team. The team on the offensive must capture two control points, and the defending team is tasked to keep the attackers at bay.

Unlike other game modes, you only have a limited number of respawns in Control. The attacking team can win by capturing the control points before the time runs out. The defending team, on the other hand, is victorious when they eliminate the opposing team before the timer ends.

New Operator Skill

The Munitions Box is a new Operator skill that can replenish the tactical gear and ammo of your entire team. Do note, however, that when it is destroyed, it will cause explosion damage.

MEMC

One of the best things that are coming to COD: Mobile is MEMC, which stands for Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation. Simply put, it is a technology that aims to make the game look smoother by adding more frames to match the refresh rate of your device. It has been used extensively in TVs and it is now making its way to more smartphones.

That being said, you can enable this feature in the audio and graphics settings. The devs recommend that you try this out, especially if you have a phone prone to occasional frame drops.

Keep in mind that MEMC will only be available in Battle Royale for the time being. If things go well, the developers may impose this on other game modes as well.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 10 will go live on Wednesday, November 17 at 7 p.m. EST.
