After becoming an unexpected hit for the Nintendo Wii U in 2016, Nintendo has ported Super Mario Maker to the 3DS for even more handheld creativity.

Nintendo 3DS will have access to pretty much everything the Wii U version has to offer in terms of courses and building items. You’ll be able to create courses and the 3DS version has interactive lessons to help you build the most creative and toughest stages possible.

In a feature unique to the Super Mario Maker 3DS version, friends who each have their own game and system can collaborate on level designs by sharing them with one another locally before they’re complete. While courses can’t be shared online, players can connect to the internet to download and play select courses from the Wii U version.

Super Mario Maker 3DS will include 100 Nintendo-designed courses with new challenges spanning from collecting every coin to defeating all enemies.

Fans can expect Super Mario Maker 3DS to release Dec. 2.

The announcement of Super Mario Maker 3DS comes in the same Nintendo Direct that another Wii U title port was announced. Yoshi’s Wooly World is being ported to the 3DS and retitled Poochy And Yoshi’s Wooly World, set to release in 2017.

With the Nintendo NX set to release in 2017, it seems Nintendo is trying to get Wii U owners to jump to the 3DS (if they haven’t already) before the new console is announced.
