Fans of the Star Wars franchise have tons of SW games to look forward to. Now, you can add one more game to the list. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was announced yesterday by EA, and its release window, which is in 2023 launching on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can watch the reveal trailer below.

Previous Game

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which was released back in 2019. The game received a positive reception from fans and critics. It was also a major financial success, selling more than 10 million copies in only a couple of months.

About the Game

Not much is known about the upcoming title but we do have information on a couple of things. The game takes place five years after the events of Fallen Order. Just like its predecessor, the game will be a third-person action-adventure title. You can expect some light souls-type combat and platforming sections.

Stig Asmussen, the director of Fallen Order, is reprising his role for Survivor. Respawn Entertainment is once again helming the development of the game with EA as publisher.

The title will not be available on the past-gen consoles, and this might be bad news for some players but I think it's great. The developer can fully utilize the latest tech without being held back by almost a decade-old hardware.

Other Star Wars Games by Respawn

Star Wars Jedi: Sur vivor isn’t the only Star Wars game by Respawn. A couple of months ago EA confirmed that Respawn is developing three SW games. One of them is Survivor, another is an FPS game and the last one is a strategy game. No information about the latter two is available at the moment.

Other Star Wars Project

EA doesn’t have exclusivity on the Star Wars titles anymore, so multiple developers are working on other SW games. The Star Wars KOTOR Remake is in development, while Amy Hennig, the creator of Uncharted, is also developing a story-driven SW game.
