'WWE 2K25' Teased For Nintendo Switch 2 With Judgment Day Promo

The big reveal in July 1 will make its way at last.

"WWE 2K25" is expected to come to the Nintendo Switch 2, and fans can only hope that the newest tease from The Judgment Day faction members is true.

The tease arrived in the form of a fresh tweet on the WWE Games X account, in which stars Raquel Rodriguez, JD McDonagh, and Finn Bálor suggested that the game's players will be able to take their group's style of chaos to "every corner of the globe" in the near future.

The brief clip ends with a significant date—July 1, 2025, and includes the distinctive click sound of the Switch, heavily implying an announcement related to the Switch 2 iteration of "WWE 2K25."

Launched in March 2025 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, "WWE 2K25" has been widely acclaimed for its impressive gameplay, graphics, and content. Highlights include the following:

  • Chain wrestling mechanics for smoother in-ring performance
  • Intergender matches, increasing playable characters.
  • An improved MyRise mode and improved Showcase mode
  • New experimental features, such as the Island mode, that received poor reviews

With some very minor criticism, everyone else generally agrees that "WWE 2K25" continues to polish and perfect the 2K wrestling formula.

Return to Nintendo After 'WWE 2K18's' Poor Start

The forthcoming Switch 2 launch of "WWE 2K25" is the franchise's return to Nintendo hardware since "WWE 2K18." That previous port on the initial Switch was widely panned for its performance problems, lag, and reduced visuals.

Yet players returning to "WWE 2K18" on the new Switch 2 hardware have said that it makes a huge difference, with hopes high for how "WWE 2K25" could run natively on the upgraded system.

According to GameRant, 2K Games earlier announced through Nintendo's April Direct that "WWE 2K25" is indeed coming to the platform, but no release window was provided.

July 1 Announcement Likely Coming

Nothing has been officially announced yet, but the July 1 hinted-at release date in the video strongly implies an announcement is on the horizon. JD McDonagh appears for a brief moment to be clutching a game case for Nintendo Switch 2 in the video, allowing fans to wonder why it's there in the first place.

2K Titles Increasing Footprint on Switch 2

"WWE 2K25" will not be going it alone on Nintendo's new console, however. Publisher 2K Games has also confirmed the next NBA 2K release will come to Switch 2, along with other big-name titles such as "Civilization 7," which arrived earlier in the month as a native port.

In the meantime, claim these "WWE 2K25" locker codes before July catches up with you.
