Square Enix has made a few major announcements at E3 2021, which was spearheaded by the new Guardians of the Galaxy game, along with a long-rumored Final Fantasy title that is different from what players are used to.
There are a lot of new things in store for the fans. So, without further ado, here are the things that are coming in the future.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Did you enjoy watching the Guardians of the Galaxy movies in the MCU? If so, you are in for a treat because the rumored game is actually true and it is expected to land on October 26.
Join Peter Quill and his gang of misfits in an adventure to fight space baddies. While they likely have plenty to offer, it is important to note that the character designs are not the same as the actors that portrayed them in the cinematic universe.
The folks at Eidos Montreal said that the story will be based on the original source material from the comics, so if you are interested to know the lore, you may want to pick this game up.
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin
Those who are looking for a hack-and-slash game would probably love the upcoming Final Fantasy spinoff, Stranger of Paradise.
The game is being developed by Team Ninja and if you’ve played Nioh and Ninja Gaiden before, then you will have an idea of what to expect.
This title was rumored to be somewhat similar to the Dark Souls games and if that is to be believed, then this is something quite challenging, to say the least.
Marvel’s Avengers Black Panther: War for Wakanda
If you are playing Marvel’s Avengers and you’ve stopped at some point because it has become stale, then this upcoming expansion may revitalize your excitement for the game.
Black Panther: War for Wakanda is the game’s next expansion and it will be available for free, so long as you have the original game.
The story will revolve around the titular character as he fights against Klaw, the Vibranium thief who was portrayed by Andy Serkis in the MCU.
Although there is no specific date at the time of writing, the trailer’s description states that it will launch sometime this August.
Babylon’s Fall
Babylon’s Fall is another hack-and-slash action RPG that is likely going to drop sometime next year. This one will be a live-service game which means you can expect updates to come to keep you engaged. Developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix, it will come on PC, PS4, and PS5.
It’s worth noting that there is no official release date yet, but for those who are interested in playing the close beta, you can sign up for an invite on its official website.
Life is Strange
Fans of the franchise can expect the Remastered Collection and Life is Strange: True Colors to be released in September.
True Colors will be available on September 10 and developer Deck Nine has revealed some juicy information about one of the game’s core mechanics.
For those who want to play the Remastered Collection, it will launch on September 30 with preorders already available.
