Shadow of the Tomb Raider's DLC The Grand Caiman is now available. This is the sixth of seven DLC adventures offered to Season Pass holders.

In this latest DLC, Lara Croft needs to again fight Trinity, who has found the crypt of a priest of Zipacna, called the God of Mountains. Lara needs to use every skill she has to prevent a cataclysmic disaster and save the lives of San Juan villagers.

With The Grand Caiman DLC, players get access to the Reptile Hide outfit and the Whispering Scourge, a suppressed shotgun. A Volcano skill has been enabled that allows Lara to craft incendiary shotgun ammo, which sets both enemies and flammable objects on fire.

A new volcanic challenge tomb, Zipacna's Craving, is also available and completing it gives players powerful rewards.

The DLC now allows all tombs in the main campaign to be playable in both Time Attack and Score Attack modes.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider completes the trilogy started with Tomb Raider and the sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider. Developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix, this is the 12th game in the Tomb Raider Series.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC through Steam. The Grand Caiman is available as a standalone purchase for $4.99. The Season Pass is priced at $29.99 and gives players access to all previous DLC content, including Forge, Pillar, Nightmare, Price of Survival, and Serpent's Heart.

The first Tomb Raider game was released in 1996 and would become the standard on many future 3D action-adventure games. The release of the game also helped drive the demand for 3D accelerators for PCs. The game received high acclaim, particularly in the use of a female heroine, contrary to the male-driven games of that era. The Tomb Raider franchise has since won accolades, include several Guinness World Records like Most Magazine Covers for a Videogame Character and Best-selling videogame heroine, among others. Tomb Raider has had three full length film adaptations with the first two having Angelina Jolie in the lead and the 2018 reboot giving Alicia Vikander the role.
