SCP: Secret Files is launching sometime later this year. If you're curious about the game, not to worry since a demo is available during the Steam Next Fest. With 100,000 players already putting it on their wishlists, they can now experience their first hands-on with the official playable demo.
Next Fest is a celebration of Steam games that are currently under development. From June 13 to June 20, players can access lots of demos, updates, and livestreams.
The demo offers an entire chapter of the game where players need to investigate SCP-701 or "The Hanged King's Tragedy." Players are tasked with exploring a mysterious hydroelectric station and learning more about the strange events happening there.
In a statement, GameZoo Studio Producer Xiaoliang shared that it has been a privilege to bring the game to life, especially one that offers some of the memorable cases coming from the SCP Foundation. Xiaoliang added that the chapter available in the demo is one of the favorite stories of the team and they are excited to see what the players think of this adaptation.
SCP: Secret Files is based on the real-life collaborative writing project titled the SCP Foundation. The game tells different stories of activities being done by this fictional organization. Players take on the role of an assistant researcher and need to finish a strenuous induction program.
