There’s something wrong with Darth Vader’s codpiece in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. His crotch cover looks all wrinkly. It’s big and misshapen, like something a kid would wear in their karate sparring demonstration.

Star Wars Lifesized shared pictures with Making Star Wars comparing Darth Vader from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the original Star Wars (which some people call A New Hope) and their own, unofficial recreation. Stare at these Darth Vader crotches long enough and it will be obvious which has the inferior codpiece:

The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Vader image comes from the licensed cardboard standup, so it’s always possible that the costume merely hangs weirdly on the standee model or doesn’t really reflect how it will look in motion on film.

Or it could be that we’ll be confronted with a ten-foot-tall wrinkled codpiece flapping over Anakin Skywalker’s nethers throughout the Rogue One runtime.
