Gamescom is the venue for a ton of yet-to-be-released and just-announced titles, and one of the many publishers that announced their lineup of games ahead of the event is Modus Games. There were three standout titles on their lineup this year, from the exploration-based Ary and the Secret of Seasons, to the mysterious and hauntingly beautiful Cris Tales, and of course, the highly anticipated Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, the fourth iteration of Frozenbyte’s famed puzzle platformer series.

In addition to these titles, the publisher stated that they will also be announcing two more titles for Gamescom, and even before the events start it would seem like Modus Games has already taken to announcing one of them. The third entry for the humorous and surprisingly competitive Rock of Ages series will be heading to all platforms next year, as publisher Modus Games and developer ACE Team formally announces Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer, which you can check out below.

The competitive arcade tower defense game once again features the developer’s penchant for Monty Python-esque humor in the very weird, yet oddly gratifying and rolling gameplay. Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break will feature an expansive and witty story featuring the bizarre adventures of alternate takes on various legendary characters. Also, in a first for the series, players will be able to create and share their own levels in order to compete with friends or strangers online in a one-of-a-kind mix of tower defense and boulder-racing – and wanton destruction/arcade action.

Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break will feature an intuitive and easy-to-use level editor that you can use to make your own intricate levels for sharing with players across the world. The game also has various multiplayer modes, including a four-player online multiplayer, as well as a head-to-head two-player split-screen mode. Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break also has over twenty boulders for you to choose from, including a cheese wheel and what appears to be Humpty Dumpty, who also appears in his own game mode.

Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC sometime in early 2020.
