The road trip adventure game Road 96 is all set to arrive on PlayStation and Xbox this April 14. The game was released back in August 2021 on PC and Nintendo Switch.

Road 96 follows the story of several teenage hitchhikers as they try to escape from the nation of Petria, that’s under a tyrannical dictatorship. Players can actually choose between crossing the border or influencing the election and hope for the best. Throughout the game, players get to meet seven NPCs for each playthrough. The game is inspired by different works of fiction that include The Goonies and Porco Rosso. It’s also inspired by the likes of Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, and Bong Joon-ho.

Features of the game include:

  • Road 96 offers a crazy and beautiful road trip. Discover exciting places and meet unusual people on your own personal journey to freedom.
  • Experience an ever-evolving story-driven adventure developed by the award-winning creators of Valiant Hearts and Memories Retold .
  • Enjoy moments of action, exploration, contemplative melancholy, human encounters, and wacky situations. The game is set against a backdrop of authoritarian rule and oppression.
  • Experience a stunning visual style, a soundtrack filled with 90s hits, and a thousand routes through the game combined so each player can create their own unique stories on Road 96.
