Game eBook

The Game eBook is titled as Road 96: Prologue and authored by Pierre Corbinais. The book offers stories from a decade before the events in the main game. It's similar to the acclaimed Choose Your Own Adventure series.

When you play it, you start at Paragraph 1 and you just follow the directions. Each paragraph leads to another as indicated by the number in bold characters. As players progress, they can add items to their inventory. The items can come in handy during adventure.

Talking about this Game eBook, DigixArt CEO and Creative Director Yoan Fanise shared that they worked with Pierre to offer a game that recreated a Choose Your Adventure book. Fanise went on to say that the events in the book are pretty much the source for everything that happens in the game.

Pierre, meanwhile, said that the characters in Road 96 appear to be haunted by their past and it was clear that it needed to be written down. He added that the format was chosen because it was the best way to capture the 90s spirit and procedural storytelling.

So are you ready to go on a new adventure?
