Red Dead Online Weekly Update: Naturalists Get Double Rewards and Special Discounts

A good time to be a Naturalist.
A good time to be a Naturalist. Rockstar Games

This week in Red Dead Online is a good time to be a Naturalist, a specialist role that was introduced back in July 2020. Players taking on this role can expect to receive more invites to Naturalist Free Roam Events. In return, they get double the RDO$ and Role XP rewards.

Naturalists that manage to finish any of the Legendary Animal Sighting Mission get to receive an Offer for 40% off an Established or Distinguished Naturalist Role Item. Those who are at least on Role Rank 10, meanwhile, get an Offer good for 40% off any Repeater.

Naturalists also get 10 Gold off the price of the Naturalist Sample Kit.

In addition to the Naturalist, there’s a little some this week as well for Bounty Hunters. Bringing in any Bounty successfully results in an Offer for 40% off any Poncho.

Weekly Offerings

Once again, the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. is offering new limited-time items. These include:

  • Eberhart Coat
  • Pelt Half Chaps
  • Plaid Cap
  • Prieto Poncho
  • Raccoon Hat

You can view the other item offerings here.

Discounts

The update wouldn’t be complete without the usual discounts. For this week, the offers are:

  • The Wilderness Camp (40% off)
  • The Advanced Camera (30% off)
  • All Stable Stalls (30% off)
  • Everything in Gus' Store (30% off)
  • All Missouri Fox Trotters and Mustangs (30% off)

Prime Gaming

For this week, Prime Gaming members get a Free Bounty Hunter License as well as an Award for the Trimmed Amethyst Bounty Wagon Livery. Plus, players who connect to Prime Gaming before March 15 also get these goodies:

  • 200x Shotgun Slugs
  • 5,000 Club XP
  • Offer for 50% off the Repeating Shotgun

New Missions

You’re probably thinking that this is a rather lean weekly update and you’re not entirely wrong. Along with this update, Red Dead Online welcomed three new missions for everyone to enjoy. Completing any of the missions not only gives a reward but also unique bonuses. Read more about that here.

Red Dead Online was initially the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2. It was eventually released as a standalone game in December 2020. In terms of story, it’s set before the events of Red Dead Redemption 2 . The game usually releases weekly updates but at certain points, receives big updates like introducing new specialist roles. Red Dead Online is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
