Rainbow Six Siege fans were surprised to hear Oregon will be the first reworked map of Year Five. It’s an iconic map that was removed from the Siege pro league because the map played out too linearly. Oregon’s rework feels like it gives a completely new vibe.

The biggest changes that have been made are to the basement, where a new set of stairs links up to Kitchen and Construction and have been expanded for less confined attacks. The laundry hatch has been shifted so that it can’t bottleneck people anymore and there are few hallways near meeting that connect the big tower and removes meeting from being cornered.

Also, with the release of the two new operators Oryx and Iana, the map will be played differently and meta will change by a long stretch.

Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Void Edge is expected to release next month, although Ubisoft has not confirmed the exact release date. We're still unclear precisely when these operators will drop, but when they do, they'll be available for no extra cost for those will the Year 5 pass. Players without a pass will have to unlock them separately.

Ubisoft is also taking more legal actions against DDoS attacks and cheaters. "In order to maintain Ubisoft's strong community of dedicated R6S players, Ubisoft has invested considerable time, money, and effort into ensuring that all of its players have a positive, fun, and rewarding experience each time they play R6S," the lawsuit – which seeks damages and legal fee costs, as well as the closure of the websites concerned – stated.
