'Pokémon TCG Pocket' Unveils 'Pulsing Aura' Expansion, New Events

"Pokémon TCG Pocket" has unveiled their next major release, which is a new expansion called "Pulsing Aura" that is coming soon to the mobile app.

The new expansion features the famed pseudo-legendary from Generation IV, Lucario, in its Mega Evolution ex form, alongside the latest additions that were introduced in the games and the Trading Card Game itself.

The Pokémon Company announced the latest expansion coming to "Pokémon TCG Pocket" called "Pulsing Aura," which will be available on Monday, April 27, at 6:00 p.m. PDT.

"Pulsing Aura" will deliver a full-scale expansion in the game, similar to recent releases like "Fantastical Parade," "Mega Rising," and more.

The star of the set is the Mega Lucario ex. Sporting 190 HP and a two-energy Fighting Pulse move that deals 90 base damage, Mega Lucario ex can get even more powerful with three or more energy attached, boosting its attack by 50.

Joining it is Mega Sceptile ex with 210 HP and a two-energy Terminating Tail attack that deals 130 damage and poisons its target while also burning off one Grass-type energy each attack.

Rounding out the headline cards is Vaporeon ex which features a unique Frozen Flow ability that lets players switch out their opponent's active Pokémon to the bench once per turn while in the Active Spot. This comes on top of 160 HP and an 80-damage Wave Splash attack.

'Pokemon TCG Pocket' New Events Alongside Expansion Drop

A full slate of events is launching with the release of the Pulsing Aura expansion, according to "Pokémon TCG Pocket." They are as follows:

• Late April to early May: "Pokémon TCG Pocket's" Special Event 2026 will feature Solo battles and missions to obtain Zygarde ex, promo cards, accessories, and more in celebration of the game's 1 1/2-year anniversary.
• Late April to July: Handy Card Collection Missions will reward Trainer cards, including May, Cyrus, and Giovanni.
• Early May: Missions featuring trading and sharing cards will reward players with hourglasses, special accessories, and more during the Community Week event.
• Early to mid-May: Joining the "Pulsing Aura" Emblem Event will reward players with emblems, alongside other useful items, by completing missions.
• Mid to late May: Completing solo battles will give players B series vol. 8 promo packs during the Mega Heracross ex Drop Event alongside Wonder Pick events featuring Treecko and Gallade.
