Pokémon GO Festival of Colors Starts March 8

Good news trainers! The Festival of Colors is returning to Pokémon GO and this year, Mega Medicham and Bruxish are making their official game debut. The festival starts March 8 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) and ends March 14 at 8:00 p.m. (local time). By the way, for the duration of the event, those who walk close to PokéStops are likely to find a colorful surprise.

Of course, a Pokémon GO event won't be complete without bonuses. So, for this festival, the bonuses are:

  • Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots every day during the event for a surprise.
  • Friendship levels will increase twice as fast.

Community Day

The Festival of Colors isn't the only event this March. There's also Community Day on March 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time). The March Community Day features Slowpoke and Galarian Slowpoke and those lucky enough can encounter Shiny Galarian Slowpoke, a first in the game.

But unlike the Festival of Colors, the Community Day offers more bonuses:

  • 3× XP for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
  • Trades need 50% less Stardust.
