Persona 5 gameplay will be shown in English for the first time at an event next week. Atlus revealed the date, time and other details via Twitter and a press release. The announcement reads as follows:

“We’re the Phantom Thieves Of Hearts and we’re back to leak some juicy Persona 5 news! We’ve successfully forced Atlus to finally show the first English gameplay of Persona 5, and they’re going to debut it at their ‘Let Us Start The Game’ live stream event on Nov. 16. We’re warning them to make it the biggest live stream they’ve ever done, so expect special guests, giveaways and the latest Persona 5 news. Be sure to tune in to the Atlus USA Twitch channel on Nov. 16 at 12 p.m. PST for the show.”

In addition to the basics, Atlus PR manager John Hardin told an inquisitive gamer that the stream will focus mostly on the first dungeon. For those concerned about plot spoilers, he clarified that it “might touch on some story stuff but not much.” Hardin also mentioned in a related NeoGAF thread that the event is targeted to be about two to three hours long. Persona 5 fans that need English content haven’t had the chance to learn much in regard to specifics, but that seems like it will change with this very deep dive into the early portion.

Persona 5 released in Japan this September to record-breaking sales and widespread critical acclaim. Since that version of the game went live, we’ve been able to glean some minor spoilers in terms of trophies, endings and character cameos for those that want them. Otherwise, a recent interview with director Katsura Hashino revealed a few elements that were cut from the game’s final build.

For English-speaking territories specifically, Atlus has finally begun ramping up its Persona 5 campaign over the last few weeks. We’ve already seen localized character trailers for Ryuji and Morgana with many more to come. In addition to that, the title’s main English voice cast was just made public. On Nov. 16, we’ll finally be able to see how all of those elements come together in gameplay.

Persona 5 releases on Feb. 14 for PS4 and PS3.
