On Wednesday, Atlus debuted two new videos for Persona 5 in advance of the game’s North American release, shedding new light on Morgana, the feline bandit who plays an integral role in the adventures of the Phantom Thieves.

In a press release on Wednesday, Atlus described Morgana as “the irreplaceable heart and soul of the team.” Check out Morgana’s official introduction to North American audiences below. If you’re struggling to cope with the grim, dystopian hellscape we’ve all woken up to this morning, the toe-tapping melody of the Persona 5 main theme, ‘Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There’ will perk you up for a few moments.

Interestingly, Morgana says, “my appearance might have changed, but I’m still an admirable human.” Wait, really? This seems to suggest Morgana transformed from a human to her current feline form, raising the question if it’s possible for her to change back into a human. (You know, in addition to being able to transform into a cat-bus thing.) If that’s the case, it’s possible Morgana’s storyline could play out a bit like that of Teddie/Kuma in Persona 4, with the character interacting with the rest of the group in both “mascot” and human forms.

In the second video, Morgana VA Cassandra Morris mentions she played a role in Persona 4: Dancing All Night. She provided the voice for Sumomo Ujima, a DAN-only character and a member of the idol group Kanamin Kitchen. She reveals Morgana has “a lot of inner turmoil” and “a really well thought-out backstory.” You can watch the full interview with Morris below.

Persona 5 debuts in North America and Europe on Feb. 14, 2017. Gotta have more Persona in the meantime? Check out our guide to everything we know about the Phantom Thieves.
