You’ve probably watched the latest round of Path of Exile’s build-of-the-week showcase, which convinced you to try Static Strike for your next character. Now that you’ve tried it, you may have noticed that there’s something wrong with it, like being unable to fire a beam of lightning while attacking with the skill. Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about that anymore because this issue is fixed in Patch 3.20.1c, now available on PC.

For those who don’t know, Static Strike is an attack skill in Path of Exile where you can build up static energy when you hit the enemy with it. Once enough energy is stored, you can unleash beams at a target, which also delivers a blow to other nearby enemies.

Before Patch 3.20.1c went live, there was a bug that caused Static Strike to not fire beams while attacking. This is pretty frustrating since those beams deal most of the damage. Well, you can rest easy knowing that this particular problem has been resolved.

This update implements a quality-of-life improvement as well. If you’ve chosen some Eldritch Altar modifiers that cause map bosses to drop stackable items, you know how time-consuming it is to pick them up one by one. Well, these items are now combined into a single stack. This improvement not only declutters the boss area but also helps save you a lot of time looting these items on the ground.
