Skin prices have been a controversial topic in Overwatch 2 ever since its release in November. Luckily for fans and players alike, something really cool awaits them in the game’s shop, and at least, price-wise, it is free.

As part of the free-to-play game’s Winter Wonderland update, Blizzard announced the all-new Gingerbread Legendary Bastion, and lo and behold, you can buy it just for a single Overwatch coin. The brand-new legendary tier skin is up for grabs until January 3, 2023.

Although it is not really free, it is only one Overwatch 2 coin, which is not really bad. Besides, if you have been playing the sequel and successful in completing at least one of the weekly challenges, you should have enough to obtain the cookie-inspired skin.

For those who are totally new to the game and have yet to acquire Overwatch coins, Blizzard has got you covered. According to the studio, you may also redeem Microsoft Reward Points for Overwatch coins. Check out this support page from Microsoft so you can get started with the said rewards. While it remains to be seen, it would be interesting to see if the studio decides to release more one-coin skins as the Winter Wonderland update dashes through the snow in the game.

The Winter Wonderland Update in Overwatch 2 was launched recently, bringing back a quartet of wintry arcade modes and introducing a new batch of seasonally themed cosmetics. Players are also given the chance to grab one skin for free and it is none other than the Ice Queen Brigette. The latter can be unlocked by simply completing at least six challenges in the event’s game modes.

On top of the free skin Blizzard introduced in the annual, seasonal update in Overwatch 2, players can also grab other paid holiday-designed skins, available for heroes Mei and Echo. Winter Wonderland runs through January 4, 2023, with the next seasonal event the Lunar New Year 2023 event, running between January 17, 2023 and February 6, 2023.

Overwatch 2 is a free-to-play game now available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
