Blizzard Entertainment is once again bringing the Christmas vibe to Overwatch 2 with the annual holiday event called Winter Wonderland. As expected, players are introduced to a series of new game modes, skins, and a whole lot more.

The new Christmas event comes not only with new features and incentives but also classic modes for all Overwatch 2 players to enjoy. Running between December 13, 2022 and January 4, 2023, the event brings winter-themed arcade modes and a fresh batch of themed cosmetics. One of the rewards players can get for free is the Epic-tier Ice Queen skin for the support hero Brigitte.

While it is true that the game has been known to introduce seasonal events every now and then, acquiring a few of these rewards is not a walk in the park, and yes, the Winter Wonderland event is not an exception. Unlocking the epic skin requires a bit of work and this guide shows exactly how to do it!

How to Unlock the new Epic-tier Brigitte Skin

Essentially, Overwatch 2 players need to complete a series of challenges brought by the Winter Wonderland update. A total of six challenges must be completed to unlock the Epic Ice Queen Brigitte skin, and only then can players equip it. These challenges are called Season’s Greetings.

The rest of the eight challenges, which can be completed during the Winter Wonderland event, are focused on the event’s limited-time modes. They are listed below:

  • Warmhearted: Thaw 15 allies in Freezethaw Elimination
  • Caught A Cold: Catch six snowballs in Snowball Deathmatch
  • Abominable: Win a game in Yeti Hunter as a Yeti
  • Block of Ice: Block eight snowballs using Cryo-Freeze, Ice Wall in Snowball Deathmatch, or Mei’s Snowball Offensive
  • Unthawed: Win a game in Freezethaw Elimination
  • Snowstorm: Win a game in Snowball Deathmatch
  • Monster Hunter: Win a game in Yeti Hunter as Mei
  • Time for Cocoa: Win a game in Mei’s Snowball Offensive

These challenges can be viewed in Overwatch 2 by selecting Challenges in the main menu and then Event from the top bar. Also, players need not worry about which of the challenges must be taken on to receive the Ice Queen skin. The goal is to simply complete at least six challenges. Players will then see the reward icon at the bottom of the screen as soon as the last challenge is completed.
