The 25th module of Neverwinter is now live on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It introduces players to the drow city of Menzoberranzan and has them explore the fabled home of the legendary Dungeons & Dragons character Drizzt Do’Urden. There's a lot to be excited about this latest addition to the game.

Players can look forward to many playable content and exciting updates, such as:

  • New Adventure by R.A. Salvatore and Geno Salvatore
    • Experience the epic conclusion of a two-part storyline and campaign written in collaboration with New York Times bestselling author R.A. Salvatore and Geno Salvatore.
    • The new campaign lets players experience the events that occur between the final two books of The Way of the Drow series, Glacier’s Edge and Lolth's Warrior.
  • Menzoberranzan Adventure Zone and Campaign
    • In this new zone, players need to avoid drow patrols and evade assassins as they assist the drow rebellion.
    • The adventure zone includes these:
      • New Quests – Embark on epic quests and encounter beloved Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms characters like Drizzt Do’Urden while also experiencing the great city of Menzoberranzan.
      • New Bosses – While exploring this new zone, players can expect to encounter both friend and foe in challenging battles like the deadliest bosses within Menzoberranzan.
      • New Rewards – Successfully completing quests allows players to unearth new epic rewards like new Underdark weapons, artifacts, mount insignias, and combat enchantments.
  • New Trial
    • Drawn to the power of the Eye of Odran, the Beholder deity Gzemnid has taken physical form within his reliquary.
    • Challenge him in a New Trial.

Quality of Life Improvements

The new module also introduces new quality-of-life improvements like balancing updates to companions. It has been found that several companions having AoE powers were using single-target damage formulas, while a handful of single-target companions were using formulas that didn’t scale well with player stats. The latest adjustments ensure that everything is kept at the same relative desirability. This means that if a companion was top-tier DPS before, it’s still is but not so far ahead of the pack as to invalidate others.

Changes are also made to insignia bonuses and mount slots including:

  • Introduction of four-slot mounts.
  • Addition of preferred slots.
  • New four insignia bonuses.
