The 25th module of Neverwinter is coming this March 28 to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The upcoming major update brings the two-part storyline and campaign first introduced in the Northdark Reaches to an epic conclusion. This arc was made possible through a partnership with New York Times best-selling author R.A. Salvatore and Geno Salvatore.

For the first time in the game, players get the chance to explore the drow city of Menzoberranzan, known to be the fabled home of the legendary Dungeons & Dragons character Drizzt Do’Urden. This new adventure is inspired by the hit trilogy book series “The Way of the Drow” by R.A. Salvatore. Players will not only meet many beloved D&D characters like Drizzt, but also experience the events that happened in the final two books, “Glacier’s Edge” and “Lolth's Warrior.”

Before reading further, if you play Neverwinter and have yet to finish the story of Northdark Reaches, be warned of spoilers ahead.

Save the City

After the events of Northdark Reaches, the leader of the Bregan D'aerthe mercenary company Jarlaxle Baenre decided to return to the legendary City of Spiders, Menzoberranzan, after being reunited with Braelin Janquay. However, not all is well in the city as the stench of civil war looms on the horizon while rumors of a long-forgotten artifact threaten to turn the tides in Lolth's favor. If such power falls into the wrong hands, the Underdark is sure to succumb to the chaos.

To stop the civil war from becoming a reality, players have to join the ex-drider forces of the Blaspheme and go into the darkness to save the city.

Answer the Call

Those brave enough to answer the call of Jarlaxle Baenre will love the new content like the new Menzoberranzan Adventure Zone. To survive the deadly streets of the famed drow city, players have to avoid drow patrols and assassins lying in wait. Other content to look forward to includes new quests and an encounter of both friend and foe in challenging battles. Players can also unearth epic rewards as they explore different epic locations spread out across Menzoberranzan in the Underdark of Faerûn.

Take the Challenge

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Neverwinter, players can challenge the beholder deity Gzemnid for a chance to claim rare treasures. Gzemnid has taken physical form after being drawn to the Eye of Odran, a powerful artifact of calamitous potential.

Neverwinter is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
